The Knee Clinic Business Cards design & printed by Gulp Creative

Our portfolio logos have been attracting a lot of attention of late. We’ve got more identities than ever before in the pipeline, so watch this space! The Knee Clinic in Tunbridge Wells is the busiest knee specialist in the South East, and they came to us for a logo design that would reflect that… plus an added caveat that we should go purely typographic in our solution.

It was an exciting challenge.  The name of the company was a blessing to work with. There are some words that you wouldn’t want in a logo, but KNEE is certainly compact and flexible…small pleasures.

We came up with a clean, professional design incorporating a knee joint subtly into the ‘K’ and used calming colours to reassure new patients. We’ve since rolled the new logo out through a variety of stationery and swanky door graphics with more to follow.

Cancer52 Advert designed for The Guardian by Gulp

Just had the pleasure of working with Cancer52 to design a full page advert for today’s Guardian supplement. A record breaking 34 logos on one page!

SAEMA pull up banners by Gulp

We’ve just finished a rebrand for SAEMA. It’s been a lovely project to work on and involved a new logo, a brochure (printed and online downloadable version from their website) as well as exhibition pull up banners (pictured) membership certificates and members lists. "Driftwood" design for Foffa Bikes

Located in East London, with distribution worldwide, bespoke bicycle maker Dani Foffa asked us to provide some designs for his “stick your fix” frame stickers.  We submitted three designs, all of which you’ll be seeing zooming past you (probably beneath some trendy London-type) very soon!  There are more in the pipeline, and we’re hoping to design our own Gulpmobile one day too. Can you guess what colour it will be?

News and Views spread - Autumn 2011 edition

We were delighted when the Autumn edition of Re:locate Magazine arrived on our doorstep this week. We’ve been softly softly introducing design changes over the past two editions and this latest version includes a complete redesign to the News and Views section as well as a new look and feel for the 2012 Awards launch pages.

The Awards’ graphics will role out across various items in the coming months to announce the contenders, the entry details, the shortlisted entrants and finally to present the Award winners themselves in 2012.

A-Boards for Malabar Coffee House - Sevenoaks, Kent

Following the design and development of the Malabar Brand Back in 2010, we were delighted when we got the call to design some A-Boards for the now established coffee house. Malabar had recently acquired an outside area “The Shambles” in Sevenoaks and were looking for some free standing signage to entice customers over.

Hadlow College Student Handbook 2011-2012 by Gulp Creative

We like nothing better than getting stuck into a really meaty project with lots of opportunity for creative input.  Hadlow College came to us with a summer offering that fit the bill nicely.  We’ve developed a new style and look that incorporates their campus colours.  As of September the finished product will have been handed out across the college for students to use.

We’ve added a video section and hooked up Rosa Monckton’s Facebook and Youtube accounts meaning images uploaded to Rosa’s Facebook account automatically appear on her website, likewise with video uploaded to the her YouTube account.

Malabar stickers in action

Saturday came around and we finally got a free moment to head up to Sevenoaks and see our handiwork at Malabar Coffee House. Malabar came to see us in October last year to discuss putting together a new identity. With all the high street competition around them, they were keen to create a bold impression with their new look.  The finished product would be rolled out across all the product packaging; we would also be designing an exterior facade that would be reflected in the interior design choices.

We produced three very different concepts to fit the brief, and following that initial presentation they chose the logo you see above.  Easily transferable to a variety of formats, one of the requirements for the logo was for it to work as a sticker that could brand fresh produce quickly and economically. Following our development phase, they  launched in February 2011 and have been going strong ever since.

We headed over on a Saturday afternoon, armed with a camera to grab some portfolio shots for the new Gulp website.  Malabar was chockers so we didn’t get much of a chance to chat.  “We’re already in the process of expanding,” they said.  “We’ve managed to get use of the Shambles pedestrian area behind the shop, so we’ll be setting up two giant sun shades with chairs & tables with heaters.  It’s going to be a winner for customers because it will feel cosy in the winter and perfect break from the sun through the summer, but you’re still right on the high street.”  The Malabar colours will work perfectly in their new backyard oasis!  You can see the rest of the pictures we took here.
